I love this place. Casual, friendly, really spot-on with their coffee and coffee drinks.Not too sweet, not 'burned' tasting, huge variety, and I love that the owners are there a lot and seem to know everyone and what they like to order! Their food is really fresh. The ambiance is relaxed and warm and I felt I could have hung out for hours on my laptop enjoying the WiFi but we were just passing through! I'd be a regular if I lived there! Loved it and will return next time we visit Durango. Nice job, and refreshing to be treated like a 'regular' on a first visit in the day of chain coffeehouses where no one knows your name ...
My First Taste of Iced Coffee

Today I had my first Iced Coffee at the Steaming Bean Coffee Shop. I loved it! They have so many wonderful coffee flavors that I usually get overwhelmed and just order a brewed cup of decaf, but today I was feeling daring and the sweet girl behind the counter was so patient in explaining that I could make any of the flavors into decaf and I could even get iced coffee, since it was so hot & humid outside. So I did it. I got a Coco Mocha Decaf Iced with whip cream...very sweet and delicious. I think I may get all of my coffee's iced from now on.
I love the relaxed atmosphere in the Steaming Bean. I kicked back on the couch in the front window and watched passerby's and listened to relaxing music as I sipped my ice cold coffee. What a wonderful place to just 'chill'.

Great Atmosphere in Downtown Durango...

Love the atmosphere! (especially the painting in the women's bathroom) This is a great spot to catch up with a friend, have a meeting over some coffee, or just sit down with a paper and a good cup o' joe. Love that they sale truffles too :)... My only feedback: Would love to see some silverton chocolates in the mix too!
Good coffee, Good Tea and WIFI

The atmosphere of the bean is great. Service is quick and friendly. Love the Velvet Hammer coffee and the cinnamon cardamon tea.
