Great coffee! I really appreciate the different seating areas- so nice for private conversations!
The Spruce Tree Rocks!
by celeste
Until the Spruce Tree there was NO place to get a quick health lunch or snack, NO place to hang between appointments or meetings, No social gathering place (that didn't require special attire and large chunks of money), No one place to peruse flyers and events of interest in our community. I heard a customer once say "this place is too hip for Cortez". I say all the hip people of Cortez finally have a place to meet each other.
The Spruce Tree is THE place to be in Cortez.

I always stop here to grab a coffee when rolling through town. Great coffee and never had a negative experience in the past 3 years of stopping by.
Love the Atmosphere!

I'm a regular at Spruce Tree... I love the nooks that I can sit with a friend and chat, or jump online and work on the laptop. Love the burritos!
Um, Do You Guys Want Something?!
by Guest-J
We got recommended Spruce Tree over neighboring Mr.Happy's and I'm still wondering why. Just hearing "happy" makes me smile.
We walked into Spruce Tree and the girl working there had her back to us and was messing with a window fan, no problem I can wait since you are clearly in the middle of something.
After a minute we hear a muffled "hi". we said hello back and she continued fiddling with the fan. Couple more minutes passed and she finally says (in a terse tone) "did you guys WANT something?!" Really? That's how I'm greeted and asked for my order? I got an americano and it tasted like she used regular coffee instead of espresso, bleh.
I saw a buzztown poster on the wall asking to leave my feedback so here it is:
Sorry for inconveniencing your employee by wanting a cup of coffee. I will let you be since I will NEVER be back again.
